I must say that Halloween is my least favorite holiday. It's never been a big holiday in my family...we never got into the whole trick-or-treat or watching scary movies...but here is something that my roommate sent me that I thought was good. She was reminded of it after we went to the farmer's market and bought cute pumpkins for our room! So here it is:

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see. This was passed on to me from another pumpkin. Now, it is your turn to pass it to a pumpkin.

Great analogy. Kind of takes the yuckies out of Halloween. Well I am feeling like a very blessed pumpkin today. Thanks!
